We are turning into a world where buying new is not always as valuable as we think. In fact, several hundreds years ago, buying used furniture was considered as a sign of poverty and running an antique shop would have been unprofitable at that time. While nowadays, buying antiques is a sign of prosperity and wealth. An object bought new will loose most of its value after a year while if you buy an antique object it will gain value over the years. This interesting and contradictory fact is only applicable to the antique market. Antique shops are therefore expected to grow even more in the future where old will become fashion.
