Why do Belgian antique shops are so interesting compared to other countries?

Belgium is the best place for antique shop in Europe. They have French antiques, Dutch paintings but Belgian prices. The variety of items is impressive for such a tiny country and prices are almost halved by what you might find in Paris or The Hague. Antique shops are therefore really attractive in belgium. The place du grand sablon, in brussel, is the most famous place of belgium with its many antique shops and flea market on saturdays and sundays morning. On the other side of the capital, it is worth visiting the area around place du jeu de balles and its flea market every week days which also contains a lot of treasures.
